Funny bunny

Chai bunny & I were playing in the guest room-me on the floor taking pics, Chai bouncing around, coming to check on me (by sniffing & licking me), & running as fast as she can.

A little licking in black & white

In technicolor

& seen through her (cat) tunnel. ; )

Hearts, 3 bows, kitty cat, & tootsie rolls

After a really tough pain night & morning, mom had dad bring home a few gifts for me...I got downstairs & there were bow topped yummy things! A ziploc full of pretzels (I've been addicted lately), a giant bag of the delicious tootsie rolls I love, the new red velvet cake ice cream, & even some light beer for me to drink as part of my indoor 4th of July, since they will be gone that weekend.

After I started getting sick years ago, I would notice heart shaped things, & I've never been one to love that shape. When I took out the cord for my computer, I later noticed this...

Macy-the parents cat was even so excited to see me...so today was pretty great, especially after the 12 hours previous. Thanks mom & dad! Xxx

Map obsession

It first hit me when I was really young-reading a Winnie the Pooh book, & spending loads of time studying the 100 Acre Woods hand drawn map in the front. My apartments had retractable pull down school maps for curtains/blinds, & maps all over the walls. Now one of my favorite shows, Game of Thrones, has an incredible opening title sequence where you fly over a hand drawn map, while steampunk castles come up out of the ground.

I even bought a game/app that has you flying in a steampunk hot air balloon over a hand drawn map...that's how crazy in love with maps I am : )

Lambert's rolls & 100 cameras in 1

So my dad was a coach for over 40 years, & right out of university he coached a great guy who ended up playing pro football for a bit. They have been close friends now for 40+ years, & tonight they went to the famous 'throwed rolls' Lambert's. They brought me back rolls, okra, baked sweet potatoes, & other goodies. Here is my haul!

I got an addictive photo app (100 cameras in 1). It is like crack to my creative soul! I was in so much pain today, but playing with the app helped me focus on something else. Thanks absolutely awesome addictive app!

Day change

After waking up with a deep sadness, luckily the day changed.

The day got better, with some love, forgiveness, & compromise...& a new awesome photo app program to keep me busy for hours! Oh, & catching up on the season finales of Game of Thrones & True Blood.

Tabled me

Getting to the Dr. T's only to have the A/C out in the front & sit in the heat was bad. My pain being so bad I was shaking with tears was bad. Getting home, the parents getting into a fight was bad. An hour after they ate & they still weren't speaking was bad. I finally went, cooked an Amy's dinner, got another ice pack, & Chai bunny food & went upstairs at 8 PM, carrying everything I shouldn't & possibly undoing the shots that had been done a few hours before. Can't certain things be tabled at certain crucial times?

Men on the moon & now Skype!

Today for fathers day, I got the parents a video call with my brother & 5 month old nephew. As dad put it, 'first we put a man on the moon, & now this!' he was amazed at this free technology in which he could talk & see live. Here are some shots. (oh, & I got him Sondre Lerche's newest album!)

Music, sweet music

Today my body demanded I take a nap. I didn't want to so we compromised by listening to my iPod. Sondre Lerche's newest is fantastic, & Take Care, Take Care, Take Care by the brilliant Explosions in the Sky sent me off to a happy dreamland. Xxx

Me, sleeping almost solid for 2 days. My idea of hell.

Fighting for peanuts

Being a vegetarian, I often will just know that I'm low on protein, so if I don't want to eat yet I'll just grab a handful of peanuts...dad's favorite snack. Today after dad came home I had my very own jar o'nuts with a big, red 'M' on the cap.

Mom has a way of marking food we share, which, while driving me nuts later makes me happy when I can bargain with dad if he has something I want : )

Since Zoe died, the parents cat Macy now loves to get right next to me when I'm downstairs in their room, watching TV. Never a substitute for Zoe of course, but having a cat curl up next to me & purr does give me a bittersweet smile. Her Macy is just a few hours ago, as close to my leg as she could get.

Alien diseases

Having fibromyalgia often makes me feel as if I have some sort of alien living inside my body, causing bizarre, painful, unexplainable conditions. This is what it feels like:

I haven't worn makeup in 2 years. My face, eyes, etc stays swollen from the medicines I get from the spinal injections, & fibro causes loads of skin problems which any sort of makeup makes worse & just seems ridiculous. Having eyelids swollen to the point of my eyelashes going downwards, even stabbing my eyeball, makes mascara & eyeliner laughable. I love not worrying about making time for makeup, but miss the fun of getting ready & playing with different looks. Sigh...

Eyes: guide to the soul & all that

My eyes, more green than hazel, say many things. I often really hope that my messages are getting read, but when the loud woman is the waiting room doesn't turn off her annoying ring tone, I assume my msg didn't quite get her.

Lately, my eyes are just saying 'nature, if you don't send some freaking rain my way to get this yellow s!#t out of my radius, I'm going to quit recycling' as they pour allergy tears. Ugh.
